Well Hello There

Welcome to Beyond The Grommets: the wonders, wanders and what-nots from The Gift Wrap Company Design Studio. Catchy huh?! We are a diverse group of six cheeky young ladies who design all the products found in The Gift Wrap Company’s range (lovingly referred to here on out as TGWC, I hope you can appreciate the short and sweet!).

Referred around the company as “The Boston Studio” in actuality we are not in Boston proper but rather about 40 miles west in a little town called Northborough. Day in and day out we work together (and quite well I happily report) to keep the product line fresh, be innovative and most importantly to create fun designs you all will love to see adorning our products.

So please check in and enjoy our ramblings while we attempt to inspire, educate and maybe even enlighten about the little bits and bites that happen
beyond the grommets.

Totally Tubular-The 80′s are back!

One can’t help noticing all the legwarmers, fingerless gloves, neon colors and ripped denim lately. I can’t help but think of Madonna and Punky Brewster, big hair, pink eye shadow. And I will confess to crimping my hair, although (hopefully) all the photographic evidence has been destroyed…

But, I admit to being more than a little concerned, these looks didn’t exactly work for everyone the first time around. Why is it coming back, and how long will it last? And more importantly  -can you even get “Aqua Net” hairspray anymore?

 

I love to design and illustrate. I love good food, good wine, and all kinds of music. When I am not working, I am spending time with my kids, or rearranging the furniture in my house (or both). I am also currently learning how to make jewelry. My current obsessions (this week...) include sundried tomato hummus, suzani throw pillows, olive green, and anything with a pom pom trim.
