DIY DISPLAY: GIFT WRAP
ByApril 22, 2014.
Here at the Gift Wrap Company, we offer an assortment of fixtures that make it super easy to merchandise our products in stores large and small. But there are so many creative ways to display gift wrap that we just have to show you some of our favorite alternative display solutions.
Today’s challenge: FLOOR SPACE featuring GIFT WRAP
This cute crate holds up to 100 rolls of gift wrap and was so easy to make!
The wheels make it easy to reposition anywhere in the store and
extra hooks hold coordinates to compliment the gift wrap.
STEP 1 : FIND A CRATE
You can use/make/repurpose any wood crate for this project but we found a (perfectly sized!) unfinished crate on amazon.com. The finished dimensions are 16 X16 X 13. Some assembly required but all you need is 10 minutes, a screwdriver and minimal effort.
STEP 2: PAINT
We used Valspar Spraypaint in Sea Wave. One quick coat gave us the slightly distressed/washed out look we wanted.
STEP 3: ADD CASTERS
Once the paint was fully dry, we pre-drilled 1/8" holes into the bottom four corners and screwed in these casters. This step is optional, but highly recommended for the portability factor, plus everything is cuter on wheels!
STEP 4: ADD HOOKS
To maximize selling space, we installed cup hooks on the sides of the crate to hang curlys and gift bags. This space is a perfect fit for tags or tissue as well.
Now you can get rolling with filling your crate! With this much space to store wrap, you can offer a well rounded assortment of designs for all occasions!
