REAL LIFE GIFTING: Wrapped 3 ways

By jill December 10, 2015.

Wrapped 3 waysWe love variety and versatility here at the studio. With a little creativity and some fabulous products from TGWC, the wrapping possibilities are endless! Here are three different wrapping styles for one gift: 1. a simple holiday option 2. a bit more elaborate "themed" embellishment 3. an everyday choice.

1 Oak Bluffs Harbor, Martha's Vineyard

I had a panoramic picture printed that I took off the back of my family's boat in Martha's Vineyard, MA. I wanted to wrap it up as a Christmas present for my father. I chose Tartan gift wrap because I think my dad would like it, and wrapped the frame accordingly.

Then, to top it off I used green tea burlap ribbon, and a starlight wooden die-cut tag as the perfect finisher!

For the next wrap option, I kept the same wrap, but changed the topper in order to keep with the nautical theme of the gift. To create a carrick bend knot, I used red and white jute cord and laid it out loosely. Then slowly pulled it tight, re-adjusting it accordingly as I pulled. Want to learn how to make this knot? Lastly, I wanted to try a more generic/possibly everyday option in case I save the gift for his birthday. So this time, I wrapped it with brown kraft solid and then used our baker's twine to create fabulous tassels! Want to learn how to make a twine tassel? Click here.

For the finisher, I topped it off with a luggage tag and a personal message!
