The Japanese art of paper folding, or origami, originated in the 17th century and today remains a popular practice the world over. There is a legend that if you make 1,000 origami cranes, you will be granted a wish. After folding only about  50 cranes for our window, I was wishing I had a cure for carpal tunnel! Follow this tutorial for easy instructions It's actually quite easy and fun, and I loved the way they looked hanging from fishing line like a mobile. I think my favorites were the ones made with Thai Rain Gift Wrap.
